For this interior design shoot, we were capturing a calm and cozy redesign for a family wanting a fresh look for their child’s bedroom and the family hangout space. Rebecca, the designer, has such a great eye— she knows exactly how to create spaces that make both parents and kids feel excited and at home. Our job is to capture all those thoughtful choices so her work can really speak for itself. But before we dive into the jungle themed playroom downstairs, we want to show you the bedroom that carries the same fun vibe upstairs.
There are a few different shades of green throughout, but sage green was a clear, intentional choice—it shows up in the nightstand, sheets, bean bag chair, and the lamp on the playroom storage shelf. The mirror, trim, and doors are all done in a soft greige that complements the green and ivory accents. To keep things from feeling too green, natural wood tones and rattan textures—like the bookcase and ceiling light—are brought into the space.
We shot the room from all angles to make sure none of the thoughtful details were missed. We want you to love the final gallery and feel confident adding the photos to your portfolio—showing how you turned what could’ve felt like a small, tight space into something super functional and exciting for your clients. Now, let’s take a look at the jungle-themed playroom that was intentionally designed and definitely delivers that high impact factor.
When shooting this jungle themed playroom, we made sure to highlight all the fun touches—like the palm tree wallpaper paired with a chocolate brown checkered rug, open toy storage, and activity table. Maison Ellie chose a palette of olive green, grey, and brown—tones that keep the space calm, but still fun and playful. We especially love that she thought about making the space comfortable for everyone, adding a grey child-sized couch alongside her clients’ larger white one for the adults.
One of our favourite spots is the reading nook—a cozy bean bag, shelving for books, and some colourful art prints that add warmth and brightness to the basement room. At the end of the day, the photos of your work really do matter. You’ve put in all the time and effort to bring a space from concept to completion, and quality images help you show what you’re capable of to the right clients and sustain your business. Photography shouldn’t be reserved for just your couple of top projects every year — it should highlight the best, while also showing that you’re consistent and trusted by many.
Whether you’re preparing for award submissions, editorial publications, or showcasing your work online, our focus is on presenting your expertise and brand in the best possible light. We work closely with you and take the time to understand your unique qualities and craft a personalized shoot plan that brings your vision to life.
