In honour of their wedding coming up in just a few weeks, here is K and M’s engagement photos. They couldn’t decide between having their engagement photos at Guelph University, where they first met, or at the beautiful Guelph Lake Conservation Area, where the Harris Mill Ruins are found. I love to have my cake and eat it too and I love it even more when I can give that to my clients, so I told them we should do both. So we traveled into Guelph (them from Niagara and me from Ottawa) and started our early morning engagement session by meeting at university. We wandered around, taking photos of them in beautiful nooks as they shared stories with me about the different areas of campus and showed me where they used to live, what buildings they had classes in, and which buildings they wish they’d had classes in.
After we’d explored everything we could at Guelph University, we drove to the Guelph Lake Conservation area for the second part of their engagement session while the sun was getting higher and hotter. We made the most of the beautiful sunshine at the lake though, and explored more beautiful spots as I learned more about their relationship and their wedding plans.
By the time we were done, I had an SD card full of genuinely love-filled images and was excited to get to do it all again at their wedding at Kurtz Orchards, Niagara-on-the-Lake the following summer.
