Their newly renovated summer lake house was the perfect setting for Maggie & NHL player Mack Weegar’s engagement photos. We spent the evening with them capturing photos of them cooking dinner together, relaxing in the living room, fishing off the dock, and enjoying a Parisian-inspired picnic. We absolutely loved having their two sweet puppies, Ziggy and Zeus, join in for most of the session. They were excited to have visitors and, along with the couple, welcomed us in. This European-inspired engagement at the lake house perfectly captured their vibe.

Inspired by the beauty of old European traditions, Maggie and Mack started the evening by pouring themselves glasses of red and preparing pasta. While the pasta was heating up, they took the opportunity to relax on the couch, cuddling up with their puppies and enjoying the calm of their lake house. It felt like a perfect snapshot of their relationship—easy, cozy, and full of love.

Pasta plated and wine in hand, the next step was to fire up the BBQ and cook the steaks. The meal was definitely enjoyed by all — even the pups tried to get in and snag a little taste too, clearly heading straight to the weak link in the relationship.

After finishing up dinner, we walked down to the dock to take advantage of the last of the sunset. Before moving on to their picnic, they practiced their dance moves by the water’s edge, laughing and enjoying each other’s company. It was one of those relaxed, fun moments that felt so natural to capture, adding to the charm of their European-inspired engagement at the lake house.

Maggie put together the perfect picnic with fresh baguettes, cheese, crackers, and a glass of rosé right during golden hour. A nod to their original idea of having a destination wedding in France.

We wrapped up with a few photos in the cozy seating area under the gazebo, where they cuddled up and enjoyed each other’s company, ending a perfect evening on a perfect note.
