Inspiration for the modern bride who wants a whimsical wedding bouquet or reception centerpiece that is bursting with blooms and yet has a minimal aesthetic.
If you’re like me, you have an obsession with a bunch of different kinds of floral designs and are finding it difficult to make a decision about what style of bouquet or centerpieces you want at your wedding. There’s tons of different styles out there, minimalist, all dried, classic round bouquets, garden-inspired, wild flower bouquets, I mean, how do you choose? Well you can release a bit of the pressure from yourself to pick the perfect style for your wedding because there’s plenty of anniversaries coming your way that you can request a bouquet for. That’s exactly what this centerpiece is — a 2 year anniversary gift from Eric that I told him I was getting myself haha! Made his job easy. My actual wedding bouquet was done by the same florist (AM Florals) whom I’ve worked with lots now that I’m based in Ottawa, but it was full of light pinks and peaches. My 1st anniversary gift was a $12 bouquet of tulips because it happened during the first pandemic lockdown, so this one was a major upgrade and it’s a tradition I plan to keep each year.
And because I know you’re wondering — I would be — the names of the flowers used are Japanese Peonies (big ones with the large yellow center), Roses, Cosmos (the ones that kind of look like daisies), and Larkspur (the ruffly ones that trail outward).
