For a long time, crisp and clean studio images were the go-to in branding photography—and they still have their place. Studio photos offer control, consistency, and polish, which can be perfect for certain brands. But over the last few years, there’s been a noticeable shift. More small businesses are leaning into authentic branding photos that feel more personal, relatable, and real.

We recently had the opportunity to do another brand strategist photoshoot, this time with Ashley Izsak, making it our third time working together. Her business focuses on helping brands streamline their customer journey and simplify their path to purchase, so we wanted to create a mix of images that not only highlight her professional side but also give a peek into her personal brand and how it blends with her everyday life. She works from home, where her past life as an interior designer becomes obvious through her well designed rooms, including her brand new office/yoga space, so this is where we did her shoot.

For the second part of this shoot, we moved to their gym. It was thoughtfully arranged with candles, crystals, and fitness equipment. Every detail was carefully considered to reflect the brand’s commitment to holistic wellness. We made sure to capture the calm, grounded energy of the space, embodying the health and well-being approach we were aiming for in the personal brand shoot.

Based in Ottawa, Ontario, our client is a loving mom and business owner of multiple businesses. Along with her husband, she runs a hobby farm and small gym where they run fitness classes and they both believe that nature is key to supporting mental and physical well-being. Through her work at Third Line Apothecary, she share their love for plants, energy, and crystals. To better showcase what she offers her clients, she reached out for a personal brand photoshoot to help promote her business.
